Warranty/Disclaimers

Iron Lion guarantees that all window and door units sold through our online e-commerce portal will be free from defects in material and function for a period of 1 year from the date of sale.  The extended warranty available for purchase is a 3 year full-service warranty including coverage for any failed seals on glass panes or mechanical defects.  Glass warranty only covers defective seals but excludes scratches, blemishes or broken panes.  In the event of a major defect in the construction of the door, Iron Lion will inspect the unit and repair or replace the product or parts at our sole discretion.  It is reasonable to expect some scratching or scuff marks as a result of handling during the installation process, this is not considered a manufacturers’ defect. Iron Lion Entries can, for a small additional fee, provide a touch up paint kit that is sufficient in repairing surface issues.

In the event of a replacement unit, Iron Lion is not responsible for the removal and disposal of the old unit or reinstallation of the new one, including any finishing work, flooring, paint, drywall, trim or exterior finishes that may be affected in the process.

This warranty does not cover regular wear of weather stripping, thresholds, and door sweeps as these are not related to regular door construction. Please refer to the manufacturer of damaged or malfunctioning items for warranties regarding these individual products. This warranty is not transferable.

All handle-sets sold through Iron Lion Entries are warranted by the manufacturer only.  At no time is Iron Lion liable for handle-set failures, rekeying, or replacing parts of said handlesets should they fail to perform as promised.  This is an industry-wide standard.  You will need to reach out directly to the manufacturer for replacement units or parts.

Over the duration of ownership, our unit's exposure to the elements and frequent operation is expected to cause natural aging.  This is not considered a defect in the build or finish of the product and will not be warranted by Iron Lion Entries.  At minimum doors should be cleaned 2-3 times per year with Murphy’s Oil soap spray and a microfiber cloth.  The use of any solvent based cleaners (like Goof-off or chemical strippers) will void any warranty.  Iron Lion’s products come fully finished and do not require any additional painting.  Any attempt to paint our products will immediately void any warranty.  Iron Lion Entries’ Doors and Windows are hand-built and will contain minor imperfections in steel and glass that are within accepted tolerance ranges of the industry and thus not warranted.

Iron Lion Entries is a Global company with components coming from many different countries including England, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, the US, and China.  Our doors are manufactured overseas in our assembly plant in China.

This warranty does not cover any failures due to accident, misuse, abuse, alteration or faulty building construction.  This warranty does not cover failure or personal or product injury due to improper handling, installation, maintenance, or storage.

Our express limited warranty sets forth Iron Lion’s maximum liability for our products. No one is authorized to modify or expand this express limited warranty. The absolute limit of our liability is the product purchase price from Iron Lion. We shall not be liable for special, indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages of any kind and all such claims are waived to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Your sole or exclusive remedy with respect to any and all losses and damages resulting from any cause whatsoever as specified herein. All Iron Lion product is sold "as is" and as such Iron Lion disclaims any and all implied warranties. We make no other warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and of fitness for a particular purpose to the original purchaser or to any subsequent user of the product, except as expressly contained herein. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the goods is with the buyer. In the event state or provincial law precludes exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, the duration of any such warranties shall be no longer than, and the time and manner of presenting any claim thereon shall be the same as, that provided in the express warranty stated herein.

CLEARANCE SECTION:

All items in the "clearance" section are sold as is with no warranty, each door system has been hung, inspected and fully functional and free of any mechanical defects leaving our warehouse - All sales are final.

QUALITY IMPROVEMENTS:

Iron Lion reserves the right to strive for continued quality improvement.  Those incremental steps to improve may result in changes in material, specifications, designs and options without prior notice and without incurring obligation.  The above statement applies to minor differences in stock doors over time.  Custom doors will be built with no variation from the CAD model signed by the customer without express consent by that customer.

COLD WEATHER CLIMATES:

Condensation problems can occur on non thermally broken iron doors in colder regions.  Most frequently it may occur after cold weather installation but will show considerable improvement after the first summer.  Condensation can also be related to warm air vents blowing directly on the door, overly high humidity and/or poor ventilation in the home. Given that not all iron doors are made with a thermal break, we cannot warrant against this issue but can advise on how best to remediate or lessen its impact.

For those in colder weather climates (typically Northern states), please consider building a custom Iron Lion Entries’ door including thermal-break technology.  The use of a thermal break dramatically reduces the likelihood of condensation on interior surfaces.  There are a number of advantages to iron that outweigh any potential disadvantages. Besides the beauty of an iron door, iron will not rot, will not bow and will not need refinishing every 2 years like a wood door.  All things to consider when shopping for a door in any climate that may get a more severe winter than most.

PAYMENT POLICY:

Iron Lion strives to make our customer’s purchasing experience as seamless as possible.  For online sales, we accept the following payment methods:

All on-line purchases include applicable sales tax.

DELIVERIES:

SHIPPING:

Please read the following information regarding Iron Lion Entries’ shipping policies and procedures. Iron Lion Entries’ values your business and works hard to ensure product shipments go smoothly for our customers.

Major freight carriers will not drive on unpaved roads.  Usually, product is delivered in a full-size highway truck (semi-truck/trailer) and cannot navigate dirt or gravel roads.  They also cannot pull into driveways.  All LTL freight deliveries are to “end-of-driveway” only.  You, the customer, must have your own assistance to move the door/window unit at the time of delivery.

LTL TRUCK DELIVERIES:

Shipping charges are determined by the weight, size, product type and destination of your item. Truck deliveries will be shipped via common carrier. A quote for shipping fees will be noted prior to final processing of your order during checkout.  A shipping quote will appear as soon as you enter your zip code.  Our system has all other necessary information including pallet dimensions and ship-from address pre-loaded for ease of use.

Please note that as the customer, you are solely responsible for any costs or fees (including but not limited to storage and re-delivery) that is a result of the inability to take the delivery on the date and time it has been scheduled. The shipping company will contact the customer directly in order to schedule the delivery. For your convenience, a tracking number and any other delivery information will be given to you once your order ships from Iron Lion. After your approval for shipment, if for any reason you cannot accept delivery of the door when it arrives to the designation terminal near you, you will be responsible for any storage fees charged by the shipping company. Iron Lion will not be able to authorize your delivery without collecting those storage fees in advance.

For all residential deliveries, Iron Lion will automatically choose a lift-gate service request with the carrier so the unit can be lowered to the ground off the truck.  However, you, the customer, will need 2-3 people onsite to receive the doors and carry them to a place for safe storage.  For safety reasons, the driver may require you and your helpers to assist with bracing the unit as it is lowered on the lift gate if the unit overhangs the platform.  Once on the ground, the pallet can be deconstructed and each crate inside can be safely moved in sections.

Please note that this is a highly physical job for more than two people in good physical shape depending on the unit size.  All shipments will be curbside delivery only.

Business/commercial deliveries will not have a lift gate. All products will be delivered to a loading dock. If a loading dock is not available, a fork lift is required.

Normal delivery hours for large item shipping are from 8 am to 6 pm local time. Please expect a transit time of 2-12 business days when your product is being shipped via truck delivery. This approximate transit time is based on the location and conditions of the delivery.

It is important to note that the customer does not have to pay any amount to the delivery personnel at the time of delivery or at any other time. Iron Lion is responsible for making direct payments to the shipping and delivery vendors. Any and all payments made by the customer to the carrier company or its representatives, for any additional or existing services, will be at the customer’s sole discretion and cost. You agree that Iron Lion will not refund such payments under any circumstances.

Please note that as the customer, you are solely responsible for any costs or fees (including but not limited to storage and re-delivery) that is a result of the inability to take the delivery on the date and time it has been scheduled. The shipping company will contact the customer directly in order to schedule the delivery for residential deliveries only. For your convenience, a tracking number and any other delivery information will be given to you once your order ships from Iron Lion’s warehouse.

FINAL INSPECTION PROCESS:

Iron Lion, as a general rule, performs a final inspection of any and all units immediately before shipping. We build our own pallet systems to protect the doors as much as possible.   Iron Lion is not liable for any damages that occur during, upon, or after delivery.

Visible Damage(s): The customer should inspect their unit for damage(s) and record any found issues upon delivery. Under National Motor Freight Traffic Association rules, the consignee (customer) does not have the right to open and inspect the shipping containers prior to signing for the freight release. If the condition of the shipping package is such that there is good reason to suspect major damage, please DO NOT open the freight package, refuse the shipment. Contact Iron Lion’s staff immediately and report your refusal to accept the shipment. Please note, by refusing the shipment, you will most likely wait anywhere from 3-5 weeks to receive resolution. If minimal damage ( i.e. torn packaging material, black mark on the container, etc.)  is present on the package, the consignee MUST notify the carrier of said damage immediately.   Documentation is also recommended.

Concealed Damage(s): To be eligible for a claim when damage is discovered after delivery, it should be reported to Iron Lion staff no later than 3 days after the receipt of the item.  Once contact has been made, the consignee will file a claim with the carrier. Iron Lion will provide the necessary information to the customer. The carrier may complete an inspection on the unit and claimed damage. Please hold the freight and packaging until resolution is given.

IMPORTANT: For ALL damage claims, consignee must report any damage marks on exterior of shipping packaging to the carrier during delivery to be considered for a claim resolution. Failing to do so will result in an unrewarded claim. The carrier and Iron Lion Entries are not responsible for any un-reported claim or late claims made past 3 days from receipt.  Iron Lion is not liable for any damages outside what is recorded by the customer on the delivery receipt.

SHIPPING DISCLAIMERS:

Iron Lion Entries will assume no responsibility or liability for any damages to shipped products or personal injury to any individual resulting from the delivery process.

In the event that the delivery address provided by the customer is inaccessible or incorrect, the customer agrees to pay the additional delivery charges incurred by the freight company.

Installation of any purchased products constitutes the customer’s full acceptance.  No claims for damages will be recognized once an attempt at installation is made.
